Fees
I am happy to discuss with you expectable fees for your particular situation. There are many ways to enter into a working relationship with me to meet your family's unique needs. To facilitate the process, I've created a menu of options to select from.
Evaluation of Need
This service is ideal for those parents that want to conduct a self-search but want direction and resources to do it professionally. The evaluation of need is done in the comfort of your home. Together we create a job description and define/prioritize the unique qualities and characteristics of your ideal nanny. Along the way we discuss legal issues, health/safety requirements, childcare costs, demographics of the nanny market, background checks and more. A comprehensive report follows including checklists, forms and resources to conduct a professional self search and a copy of my book: Nannies for Modern Moms the Essential Guide for Hiring the Right Nanny for Your Child and You.
Personal Nanny Search
Evaluation
An evaluation of need begins the search which includes the components described above.
Personalized Nanny Search
Following the evaluation, I conduct a personalized nanny search recruiting from among my vast network of clients, caregivers and organizations in the Bay Area for leads and referrals. Documents are gathered on qualified candidates, including a pre-screening interview report, six-page application, letters of recommendation, documents verifying work authorization, health/safety/background check clearances and personalized calls to references.
Interviews, Evaluations and Contract Negotiations
I manage all the logistics, including scheduling interviews with desirable candidates. I am with you for candidate interviews to ensure all the important questions get asked. Post interview we evaluate each candidate for fit, inviting back for 2nd interviews and trial the candidate(s) most suitable. Along the way I provide a lot of support, direction and evaluation to ensure your choice matches with expectations. A personalized contract is designed to meet your specific needs, negotiations are facilitated, terms clarified and a contract signed.
Follow Up
For the next three months, we stay in close contact to ensure everyone gets off to the right start! I continue to be available to answer questions and assist with managing the inevitable family and child transitions, such as when your child goes off to preschool. As an additional benefit, you receive regular updates on the latest research on child development, childcare, education and public policy issues related to families and children.
